Seeing Spots

dress- Joe Fresh/ necklace- H&M/ ballet flats- H&M/ sunglasses- Michael Stars

I got this dress at Joe Fresh the other day, and I love it for so many reasons.

1) It's super comfy.
2) It has pockets!
3) It's dressy enough for work, but casual enough for home.
4) I got it on sale for $19.99 (50% off!). The link for dress isn't on their site...however, this dress is the same style. Also, I'm sure if you stopped by their store you might be able to find this on their sale rack. I got it just last week.
5) The pointillism design kind of reminds me of something Lichtenstein would have created. #arthistorygeek

It's all in the details.

Gosh it's been so long since I have done an outfit post on here...maybe some of you notice something a little different. I got highlights (almost a month ago). Wanted to switch things up and get fresh for the summer. It's been years since I have put highlights in my hair, but my hair has been super dark for way, way, way too long. Thoughts???

I gotta admit, I'm a little sad that my four day weekend is halfway over. But the weather is amazing today, so I can't complain. We're planning on some serious outside time this afternoon: plenty of walks in our neighborhood, playtime in the dog park, and hopefully a fun night out.

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!!!

All Signs Point To Greenpoint

dress- Express / booties- Kensie / sunglasses- Michael Stars

This morning my husband, dog, and I took a lovely walk through Greenpoint, Brooklyn. We've been living in northern Williamsburg since December, and have yet to wander through Greenpoint's charming neighborhood. For those of you that don't know the area that I live in...Greenpoint is literally a couple of blocks north from me. Seems like every weekend when we go for a stroll we always go south...or east...but never north. I'm so glad we did. We stumbled on so many spots that have us saying: "Greenpoint, we'll see ya next weekend too!!!"

I'm so happy that the warmer weather is here! This weekend feels almost like summer. I couldn't wait to wear this new dress I just got at Express a couple of weeks ago. It's so light and flowy...and it has the most adorable keyhole detail. For those of you that love it as much as I do, guess what? It's currently on sale

P.S. I only kept this photo in the bunch because Rocko looked so cute. Please don't mind my face.

It's A Mod, Mod World

I don't know what I am more in love with here...this dress or this view! Muse was kind enough to send over this amazing dress. The bold pink hue, the classic sheath design, and the fun mod style...this dress has it all. Perfect for the work place, brunch with the girls, or even to wear to a daytime wedding.

So I'm sure my regular readers are probably scratching their heads thinking, where are you??? No, this is not the view from my apartment. My NYC apartment view is hardly this glamorous. My friend from North Carolina came to town with her husband and they ended up staying at her husband's uncle's apartment. His uncle was out of town so she invited me over to hangout. I was not anticipating a view like this! Simply breathtaking!

There is something really amazing about New York City when you look down on it. We were peering out on  the city from the 36th floor. Everything looked so small and calm. It was quite beautiful.

I realize I'm not smiling in any of these photos. I guess that is because it is practically 90 degrees here! This heat we are having here in the northeast is so unbearable. But at least after we snapped these few photos we went swimming to cool off (indoors of course!). How are you dealing with the heatwave???

Urban Turban

This weekend I finally made it down to Joe Fresh for the first time. I know a lot of my Canadian friends have been raving about them for quite some time now. I have to admit, when I walked into the store I was in love. Super affordable prices, bold colors, and their items fit me so well (that is if you don't count the one item I bought that was obviously not sized properly...and my husband will be returning this week for me).

As I mentioned to everyone in my hangout on Friday, pants in my wardrobe are seriously lacking! So I was super happy to purchase these raspberry hued capri pants. Perfect for summer!!!

Another thing I totally fell in love with over the weekend was Garneir's Olia haircolor. Have you tried this product yet??? I was in desperate need of color because my hair is so white without it (even though I know nobody believes me, it is!) and didn't really want to spend over $100-150+ at the salon. So I thought I'd give Olia a try.

I was so impressed at how rich the color was! It also made my hair so soft and silky...and didn't stink! I know if I color my hair at home in the future I will definitely be using Olia. Take it from me (someone that has tried just about every hair coloring product out there), this really is the best hair color I have tried in a long time!

Personally, I'm still torn on whether or not I can pull this headwrap off. The more I wear it, the more it is starting to grow on me. What are your thoughts on this bohemian trend?
