Fashion Hangout- The Video

Thanks a MILLION to everyone that joined me tonight in the Fashion Chat I co-hosted with Melbourne fashion blogger, Sevan from Seven Autumn Leaves. In addition to the two of us where Cath from AsianCajuns, Kristen Terrana, and Tara Macolino. We had a little bit of technical difficulties in the to start out...but figured things out after a while. I blame Google. But you girls really were good sports...and I appreciate all your questions and advice! You all rock!  :-)

I'm planning to do more of these in the future. My dream is for Google+ hangouts to catch on. It's such a great way for all of us to communicate...but I often feel like a lot of us in the blogger world get stuck behind the keyboard and are afraid of actual interaction. Look at us...it's fun! So I hope that in the future more people will want to join. And if you would like to co-host a future broadcast with me, let me know!

*Hangout Reminder*

Wanna Hangout???

I have some exciting news for my readers! You all know I absolutely adore Google+ Hangouts (where you can video chat in groups of up to ten people). It's so fun and interactive...and a great way to meet readers that you normally wouldn't get to speak with due to geographical restrictions.

I'm happy to announce that one of my favorite bloggers from Australia, Sevan from Seven Autumn Leaves, will be co-hosting a Google+ Hangout session with me next week! Now since her and I have a 14 hour time difference between us (Sevan in Melbourne and myself in NYC) finding a time to hold this was rather tricky! This hangout session will be going on 8pm Friday, May 10th eastern time (and 10am Saturday, May 11th for those of you in Melbourne). For those of you in between here and there you can figure out the time according to your own time zone!  :-P

Up to eight people can join us for a chat about fashion, style, and trends! If you would like to join in on the conversation please leave your email address below in the comment section and I'll be sure to get you in the circle. Now like I said, there is only enough room for eight to join us...so I'll put the first eight on the list...however, if there are more than eight that are interested in joining us I will put them on a waiting list in case a space opens up. I do ask that you make sure you have Google+, a webcam, a microphone, and KNOW HOW TO USE THE HANGOUT SESSION FEATURE! If you have any questions feel free to email me and I'll try to help you out. It really is super easy!

If you know you cannot make it but still want to join in on the fun we are asking that you leave us some questions about fashion and we will try to answer them during the hangout. You can leave your questions in the comment section below, email them to me, or even leave them in a comment on my Facebook. The first portion of the hangout will be answering reader's questions...and then the second half we'll be talking about our favorite trends and how to wear them.

I'm also going to try to record the hangout session to share with everyone that cannot join. I've never tried recording a hangout before...so hopefully I'll do that correctly!

Google+ Hangout- 2012 Emmy Awards

This Sunday the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards will be televised and I couldn't be more excited. I have to admit, these are probably my favorite awards to watch. I'm not hip with new music...so I almost never watch the Grammy Awards. I can't tell you the last time I went to see a movie in the theater...so when the Academy Awards are on I typically haven't seen any that are nominated. But I do watch my fair share of television. Maybe too much???

I have hosted a number of Google+ Hangouts for award shows in the past, and thought it would be a blast to do this again. It seems that as of recently people are starting to get very interested with Google+ Hangouts. Personally, I think they are so much fun! If you have no idea what a hangout is, or haven't tried one yet let me explain. It is a multi-person video chat. Up to ten people can chat in one session. It's so cool!

There are two rules that I have for this hangout session-

1) You must have the E! channel to join. It would be really silly to join in on the conversation if you couldn't see what we are talking about.

2) Please make sure that you have an idea on how to use Google+ Hangout prior to the hangout session. Make sure your webcam and microphone are working. In the past there have been a lot of people that wanted to join in and didn't know what they were doing...which had them miss the video chat. If you are asking what is Google+, you need to have a gmail account to access this.

This Sunday tune into E! for their red carpet coverage starting at 6pm eastern time. We'll be chatting about our favorite (and least favorite) looks as we see them live until 8pm eastern time. You do not have to be there for the entire two hours. If you are interested in joining in on the fun be sure to email me and I will get you on the list!

Academy Awards Red Carpet "Hangout"

Newsflash...the Oscars are NEXT SUNDAY!!! I'm so excited for the gowns, the celebrities, the jewels, and the hair styles. I just adore awards season, don't you?

In honor of the Academy Awards I'll be hosting another red carpet "hangout" on Google+. I am inviting all of my fellow fashion bloggers, favorite designers, and loyal readers to join me on Sunday, February 26th at 4pm eastern/1pm pacific time. We will all be watching E!'s coverage of the red carpet and talking about all the hits and misses at the awards. I have already sent out an evite to those that I think might be interested...but if I missed you please email me and I'll get you on the evite ASAP! You will need to have Google+ on your computer, a webcam, and the E! channel. Please make sure that you have Google+ downloaded before the chat (it only takes a few minutes). Space is limited, so if you need the evite please email me to let me know right away. I hope to see a bunch of you there on Sunday!
