Crazy For Kimonos

With weather like this, sometimes you need something on your arms. Jackets and cardigans are often too heaving for the humid weather of June...but going outside sleeveless (especially in the mornings) is a little chilly. What's a girl to do??? I suggest wearing a kimono. They are so light and airy, and give you that extra layer you need when the temperature is below 70 degrees...and they are so on trend right now. Sometimes teeny mini skirts and super long maxi skirts just don't cut it. Midi skirts keep you always looking classy, sophisticated, and flirty. I love them. It's such an easy way to keep your look very classic, yet very current. I have a handful of midi skirts in my closet that I adore...but there are so many more I have on my radar that I need! Happy 2014 Everyone!

I hope you all had a great New Year's Eve, had fun celebrating, and are having a relaxing day of recovery today. Unfortunately my NYE was not so glamorous. I was incredibly sick (yes, I know...STILL SICK!), and passed out before midnight thanks to the codeine laced cough syrup my doctor gave me. The fireworks and people screaming woke me up for a few minutes when the clock struck 12...but then I zonked back out. I'm actually feeling a good deal better today (thank goodness) and hoping 2014 is going to be a bit brighter and bring me lots of joy and happiness.

Trend Block: Floral Prints

Now that my seasonal allergies have subsided I feel as though I can appreciate floral print a little bit more. I came across this stunning photo of Scarlett Johansson at Comic-Con, and I had to share it with you. This bright and bold Versace sheath dress she has on is so beautiful! Typically I'm not a huge fan of florals...at least not pastel florals (bleh!). It's just a little too cute for me. But bright and bold florals are perfection! The intense colors really elevates the entire look...don't you think?
