Lately, my husband and I have been thinking of taking some dancing lessons. I remember how much fun it was taking swing lessons back in high school/college...and would love to do more lessons in the future. For some reason I always gravitate more towards dances that have steps instead of a freestyle type of dance (I never know what to do with my hands...or feet...or body). My husband loves music...but the thought of him learning steps to a dance is so comical to me. He actually seems interested in learning...so I gotta run with this while I can!

There are so many options in our neighborhood alone. We were going to attend Salsa Sunday tonight at Brooklyn Bowl, but we have plans. However, they are holding these lessons in July and August. So until next month! Another place in our hood that is on our radar is Fada. This restaurant holds Tango Tuesdays...every week! Sounds like a blast, right?

I always say, when you really don't know what to wear, just keep it simple. There is nothing easier than throwing on a dress with a statement necklace and topping it off with a hat. You end up looking chic and it was a look that really took no effort. Such a great look for hanging out on a summer day!

Crazy For Kimonos

With weather like this, sometimes you need something on your arms. Jackets and cardigans are often too heaving for the humid weather of June...but going outside sleeveless (especially in the mornings) is a little chilly. What's a girl to do??? I suggest wearing a kimono. They are so light and airy, and give you that extra layer you need when the temperature is below 70 degrees...and they are so on trend right now. I'm 100% in love with this outfit I created above. Probably because I have nothing like it in my closet...and it's so out of my comfort zone. The hat is also way too fabulous. Snapshot Fashion turns six today! I have to say, I can't believe that my blog has been around for six years already. Through the ups and downs...the days where I'd get sick of blogging...the days that I loved it...the wonderful people I have met...the fantastic events I was able to attend...and the ongoing correspondence with loyal readers and other bloggers...it was all worth it!

Seeing Spots

I got this dress at Joe Fresh the other day, and I love it for so many reasons.

1) It's super comfy.

2) It has pockets!

3) It's dressy enough for work, but casual enough for home.

4) I got it on sale for $19.99 (50% off!). The link for dress isn't on their site...however, this dress is the same style. Also, I'm sure if you stopped by their store you might be able to find this on their sale rack. I got it just last week.

5) The pointillism design kind of reminds me of something Lichtenstein would have created. #arthistorygeek

Gosh it's been so long since I have done an outfit post on here...maybe some of you notice something a little different. I got highlights (almost a month ago). Wanted to switch things up and get fresh for the summer. It's been years since I have put highlights in my hair, but my hair has been super dark for way, way, way too long. Thoughts???

I gotta admit, I'm a little sad that my four day weekend is halfway over. But the weather is amazing today, so I can't complain. We're planning on some serious outside time this afternoon: plenty of walks in our neighborhood, playtime in the dog park, and hopefully a fun night out.

The insane storm that hit us last night. I hate thunderstorms.

Oyster happy hours are the best. Our favorite place for this is Sel de Mer in Williamsburg. $1 oysters and 1/2 price drinks! Does it get better than that???

I love this furball. He is so fluffy from the bath he got at daycare the other day. They gave him a magnificent blowout. He is 100% fluff!

My new favorite dress. Picked this up at Joe Fresh the other day and got 50% off of the price. ONLY $19.99! The prince is so cool...it actually kind of reminds me of something Lichtenstein would create. Stay tuned for an outfit post of it later this weekend.
