*Fashionista Faceoff*
It's Wednesday, so that means yet another round of Fashionista Faceoff! What do you think of this new feature? From what I gather, my readers think it is as fun as I do. :-)
This week I'm going up against Jayde and our theme is party outfits. Check out our looks and then vote for your favorite.
This week I'm going up against Jayde and our theme is party outfits. Check out our looks and then vote for your favorite.
Jayde dresses up a casual top and sandals with a beautiful lace skirt and gold jewelry. She makes her party outfit fun by adding a pop of color with her handbag.
Instead of a typical party staple, the little black dress, I opt for a LPD (little pink dress). I keep it looking chic with a black blazer and tights, but then add in some sparkle with silver accessories.
Which party look is your favorite? Please vote for either Diane (Snapshot Fashion) or Jayde below.

Beauty Buzz
I have been a longtime fan of Benefit Cosmetics and for Christmas I received some more of their items to add to my collection. If you have yet to try their makeup, please trust Snapshot Fashion when I say that their items really are must haves!
Sugarbomb- This is probably my most favorite item that not only Benefit has...but my favorite makeup out of all that I own! Just take the brush and swish together the shades of pink, peach, rose, and plum powder to give yourself some remarkable color. The first few times I wore this my husband was like, you look like you have a nice tan...like you have some color to your face. Even though I have an olive skin tone, I am rather pale. This product gives me just the right amount of color that looks natural and pretty. I wear it EVERY day!
Big Beautiful Eyes Palette- This palette is truly incredible. It comes with very simple instructions to make a very professional looking eye. This set comes complete with concealer, base shadow, contouring shadow, liner shadow, and two brushes. I have hazel eyes, and this set makes them look bright green and beautiful! What I love about this set is just how simple it is to make this look...no matter what your skill level is.
Do you have a favorite item from Benefit? Have you tried either of the items that I have reviewed? Please share!

*Fashionista Faceoff*
Another week, another fashionista faceoff! This week I'm going head to head with Vickie from Adventures in Fashion. Today we're showing you our favorite date night looks.
Vickie keeps her look rather fun with tulle, adorable accessories, and a pop of color. She also adds a cute cropped demin jacket to top off the look.
I tried to make my outfit look rather romantic by pairing a dress with pink details, micro mini fishnets, and a faux fur jacket together.
Who do you think has the best date night look? Take a moment and vote for your favorite look below.

Golden Globes Fashion Review
I have to say, there were a lot of amazing looks at last night's Golden Globe Awards. Of all the dresses in the world to wear I always find it crazy how many celebs end up wearing similar trends on the red carpet. This year seemed to be the year of nude hues, shades of green, and long sleeves. Here is my list of best and worst dressed of the evening.
Which looks were your favorite from last night? Which looks did you hate???

*Fashionista Faceoff*
This week in our Fashionista Faceoff segment I'm going head to head with Stefany. The theme for our faceoff is: a casual look you'd wear out to lunch with your friends.
Who do you think has on the best casual daytime look? Please vote for Diane (Snapshot Fashion) or Stefany below.
Stefany keeps her look very simple with a chic blazer. The pop of color in her top and animal print shoes make this look stand out.
I stay very casual in denim as well. A delicate blouse and jacket are worn along with some tougher looking boots and handbag.
Who do you think has on the best casual daytime look? Please vote for Diane (Snapshot Fashion) or Stefany below.

Interview with Kirsty Doyle
I recently got the chance to do a little interview with Kirsty Doyle. I am totally in love with her collection, so when she agreed to do an interview with Snapshot Fashion it put a smile on my face. Please make sure you take a second and stop on by Kirsty Doyle today!
Snapshot Fashion: What inspires your designs?
Kirsty Doyle: I am inspired by the design work I do on the stand, I use fabrics on the mannequin to create different shapes and folds. This method of design work is quite organic and I can reference different trends, this season pleats feature heavily in the collection.
SF: Tell us about the first item you have ever designed.
KD: I began making scrunchies on the sewing machine with my mum, I don't know if you could include that. The first thing I designed was a mini collection for a university project which was all in an antique cream palette, it was more like creative pattern cutting than mannequin work. The styled photographs at the end featured my little sister as a posing as a puppet on a string!
SF: Describe your collection in three words.
KD: The collection is called The Contemporary Goddess.
SF: If you could give anyone a Kirsty Doyle wardrobe makeover, who would it be?
KD: Britney Spears!
SF: What is the biggest challenge about being a designer?
KD: Keeping up with the seasons, being a retailer and a designer is like having two sides of the brain! Currently I am designing and booking appointments for a/w11 but I am in a/w10 sale in store and online but just about to launch the s/s11 in store.
SF: Which designers do you look up to?
KD: I recently got the Alexander McQueen book and his work just takes your breath away. The shows and the spectacular theatrical nature of his work is unrivalled.
SF: Where do you hope to see yourself professionally in 5 years?
KD: I would like to have at least 5 stockists, nationally and internationally and have another store.

*Fashionista Faceoff*
2011 is now here...and so is this new feature I have been working on called: Fashionista Faceoff.
The concept: I will go head to head with other bloggers and fashionistas in creating an outfit that follows a particular theme. Then you the reader get to vote on your favorite look. For all you foodies out there, this is almost like Bobby Flay's Throwdown...but with clothing instead of food. Catch my drift???
For our first week Annebeth is joining me in showing off our favorite feminine & flirty looks.

For our first week Annebeth is joining me in showing off our favorite feminine & flirty looks.
Annebeth's look is full of color and a pretty floral pattern, topped with a snuggly sweater.
I kept my colors more muted. To me feminine & flirty is all about pretty tights, short hemlines, and ruffled detailing.
Who do you think has the best look that embodies the feminine & flirty theme? Please vote for Diane (Snapshot Fashion) or Annebeth below.
