Time Out New York: Most Stylish Reader Instagram Contest

So last week I saw that there was a contest being held on Time Out New York's site. They were looking for their most stylish reader via Instagram. This contest was calling my name: 1) I love Time Out New York and 2) I'm obsessed with Instagram. So why not enter a cute picture of myself? It couldn't hurt!

Today they narrowed the entries down to their top ten favorite...and I made the cut! Now they are letting their readers vote for their favorite. The winner will receive a feature in an upcoming issue of Time Out in the Shopping & Style section...as well as the title of the Most Stylish Reader.

This week on our Fashionista Faceoff I am going up against Dana. Our theme this week is showing off our favorite work outfit appropriate for a fashion or artsy company. Got it? Let's check out our looks---

Dana wore a simple white top and black pants, but adds in a bold necklace and furry vest which makes the statement! Making this look go from simple to fabulous!

I wore one of my all time favorite dresses. This bold green mod frock is perfect for the work place. I pair it some funky tights and heels.

*Fashionista Faceoff*

This week I was actually thinking about skipping this post due to the fact that I haven't been feeling well, and the weather is making me dress like a big old frump! But...then I realized that if I skipped a week I'd mess up my schedule.

I'm going up against the adorable Masoom from Style Fiesta. Our theme this week is plaid.

Masoom paired a girlie plaid top with a beige skirt. I love that she is using a pink handbag, which is making the pink stand out of her top.

Honestly this was my third outfit change...and I still don't know if I'm happy with my plaid look. My first look I realized looked just like Masoom's. My second look was just not doing it for me. So out of being purely exhausted I went with this schoolgirl inspired look. I love wearing all black with just a pop of color thrown into the mix.

It's Wednesday, so that means yet another round of Fashionista Faceoff! What do you think of this new feature? From what I gather, my readers think it is as fun as I do.  :-)

This week I'm going up against Jayde and our theme is party outfits. Check out our looks and then vote for your favorite.

Jayde dresses up a casual top and sandals with a beautiful lace skirt and gold jewelry. She makes her party outfit fun by adding a pop of color with her handbag.

Instead of a typical party staple, the little black dress, I opt for a LPD (little pink dress). I keep it looking chic with a black blazer and tights, but then add in some sparkle with silver accessories.

Another week, another fashionista faceoff! This week I'm going head to head with Vickie from Adventures in Fashion. Today we're showing you our favorite date night looks.

Vickie keeps her look rather fun with tulle, adorable accessories, and a pop of color. She also adds a cute cropped demin jacket to top off the look.

I tried to make my outfit look rather romantic by pairing a dress with pink details, micro mini fishnets, and a faux fur jacket together.

This week in our Fashionista Faceoff segment I'm going head to head with Stefany. The theme for our faceoff is: a casual look you'd wear out to lunch with your friends.

*Fashionista Faceoff*

2011 is now here...and so is this new feature I have been working on called: Fashionista Faceoff.

The concept: I will go head to head with other bloggers and fashionistas in creating an outfit that follows a particular theme. Then you the reader get to vote on your favorite look. For all you foodies out there, this is almost like Bobby Flay's Throwdown...but with clothing instead of food. Catch my drift???

For our first week Annebeth is joining me in showing off our favorite feminine & flirty looks.

Annebeth's look is full of color and a pretty floral pattern, topped with a snuggly sweater.

I kept my colors more muted. To me feminine & flirty is all about pretty tights, short hemlines, and ruffled detailing.

The Golden Girls

The women of Hollywood have been spotted wearing a lot of gold lately. For instance this week Jennifer Lopez showed up at a benefit concert for the Apollo Theater in this lovely Gianfranco Ferre dress. JLo wasn't the only one rockin' metallic this week...actress Jada Pinkett Smith wore this leather frock from Rafael Cennamo to the Los Angeles premiere of The Karate Kid.
