California Dreamin'

I'm saying goodbye to NYC for a few days. My husband and I are currently on an airplane heading to San Francisco. I'm beyond excited, as this is my first trip to San Francisco...and actually my first trip to California! From The Rooftops, Shout It Out

Well, hello springtime!!! The sunshine is here!!! This has me happy beyond belief. I'm up on our rooftop enjoying the beautiful views of Brooklyn and NYC. I'll be even happier later on this week when I jet off to San Francisco. It will be my first visit to California, and even though it will only be for a few days I'm so excited! My husband lived there for three years (many, many moons ago)...and is so excited to show me around his second favorite city.

Happy Birthday To Me...

Today is my 33rd birthday. Birthdays in my 30's don't seem to be quite as fun or exciting as my birthdays in my 20's were. The last few birthdays were kind of depressing if I'm being quite honest. But, I'm kind of excited to see how my 33rd year will play out. So far, this year is pretty good...I can't complain!

The sun has been shining, and I'm finally able to shed two or three layers of clothing without freezing. Before you know it spring will be here. I should know...my birthday is the first day of spring (March 20th). 

Nothing screams spring time to me more than dresses. Granted, I wear dresses all the time. Yep, even through the Polar Vortex. But there is something about dresses like the adorable one I have shown here that shows that spring is in bloom. The bright colors, the fabulous bow, the loud print...it's like it is shouting: SPRING IS (almost) HERE!

The weekend is here, and so is the warmer weather! It's about time I get outside and enjoy some sunshine! It's only 11am and I have already gone to the gym, wandered around my neighborhood taking photos, went with my husband and dog to the dog park, and hit up the local farmers market. Next on deck, out to lunch.

Live From #snapshotfashionparty

Yesterday afternoon we celebrated the Oscars the best way I knew how...with yummy hors d'oeuvres, champagne cocktails, cute outfits, fabulous friends, and prizes!

I'm so obsessed with these flower poofs. They took me a good hour and a half to put together...and I think I'll let them up for a while. Maybe I'll let them up until they call down....because they are too cute!

My husband and I worked extra hard to make a ton of yummy food (this isn't even all of it).

One of my favorite times of year is almost here...the red carpet at the Oscars! In the past years when award shows have had their red carpets I have celebrated in a number of ways with my readers, from Twitter chats to Google Hangouts. This year I wanted to step up my game a little and host a fun cocktail party during the red carpet.
