From Boston With Love

Nothing makes me happier than floral prints, great finds at thrift stores, over the knee socks, beautiful gardens, and jaw dropping architecture.

Boston, I had a fantastic time! xoxoxo

Springing Into Spring With Pastels & Florals

One thing I love about springtime is the warmer weather. I don't do well with cold, at all. Often when I'm complaining about how cold winter can be people often think I must be from the south or out west. But nope! I've been living in the northeast all my life. I guess I'm just a wimp!!!

When the warmer weather comes around so do the pretty spring dresses! This year I'm loving the floral prints that are out there. What is surprising is that I'm actually loving pastel floral prints. When I look through the sea of black that is my wardrobe, I'll find colors and prints here and there...but they are always bright and bold. I can honestly say that I don't think I own anything in a pastel shade.

But my wardrobe might have to start to change, as I am head over heels for these super cute and feminine pastel dresses! Don't you just love them???

Springing Into Spring

One thing I never understood is Groundhog Day. People stand out in the cold to see if Punxsutawney Phil  (or even the local Staten Island Chuck) will see his shadow to predict six more weeks of winter, or not see his shadow forecasting six weeks till spring. This year Phil and Chuck both predict only six weeks until spring...so, if they want to say spring will be here soon (?) I'll take it!

I figured I might as well celebrate today by wearing one of my favorite spring dresses. How I just love floral frocks for the springtime! Don't you? The fact that it is only in the 20's today made me have to throw on some extra layers to warm it up a bit. Tossing on a sweater, some tights, and knee high boots makes any spring/summer dress winter ready.

I believe I got this dress a few seasons ago so it is no longer available. But be sure to check out LC Lauren Conrad's dress collection that she currently has at Kohl's. Through March 9th be sure to use the promo code TENFORBLOG to receive an extra 10% off your Kohl's purchase. You can even use it to stack savings with one other code as well.

Happy Groundhog Day from me and my Rocko dog! Are you celebrating today?  :-)

Friday Florals

Okay...say it with me: THE WEEKEND IS HERE! Woohoo! I'm super excited for a number of reasons:

1) The weather here in Pennsylvania is going to be fantastic. Sunny and in the 70's and 80s. I have to admit, I am a little sad that we didn't get any rain this past week...because my allergies are out of control. Hopefully all the sunshine will be a nice distraction from my sneezing and itchy eyes/throat.

2) Tomorrow morning my mom and I will be heading to New Jersey for a baby shower. My friend Kelleny who I have known since I was 12 is going to have a baby girl next month. So exciting! She is flying in from North Carolina as we speak to her sister's place in New Jersey. Should be a fun time since I don't get to see her too often (even though I did just see her a few weeks ago when we went to NC to visit).

3) I bought some really pretty flowers that we have to add to our flower gardens. We're still working (slowly) on landscaping our house...but I really love seeing all the flowers blooming. It really makes me smile since I don't exactly have a green thumb.

I call this photo my wedding day floral pose. Hahaha! Could this picture look more awkward and stiff? Supermodel I am not.

Trend Block

The weather the other week totally spoiled me. I actually started to think that spring is here...but then the snow we got a few days later shook me back to reality. While I was thinking about warmer weather I started to daydream of pretty floral sundresses. Floral print dresses are the trend for spring. Actually, I don't think they EVER go out of style...so stocking up on a few is probably in your best interest because you'll be able to wear them for many seasons to come and still look amazingly hip. Here are my favorite floral frock picks for spring---

Which dresses listed above do you have to have? How do you feel about floral dresses? Is there another floral dress that you love that didn't make it on Snapshot Fashion's list? Please feel free to share!
