Ashlee Simpson showed up to Carol Malony's 'Paris in LA' event Wednesday in West Hollywood wearing this. I don't even know what to say...except: I really hate it! I want to say that there isn't enough fabric...but then I look at the very unflattering jacket she has on, and I want to say too much fabric! Ashlee, if you are chilly why don't you just cover your belly? It would be a much more simple and flattering solution to this mess of an outfit.What do you think? Am I being too hard on her? Would you wear this???

I think it's the fact that she's so grotesquely thin that it makes her look like an old woman is why this outfit doesn't work on her. At least she's wearing high-waisted shorts with the bra.
I feel like there was a way to make this work. I've seen other celebs do a vintage crop-top look, but you are right! The cut on Ashlee's outfit is wrong for her and the clothes end up wearing her instead of the other way around.
