Beauty Buzz

Two weeks ago I was waiting for a presciption at CVS so I was killing time browsing around the store. I came upon the makeup section...like I always do...and saw that Revlon products were buy one get one free. I rarely buy that brand, but have been wanting to try out the ColorStay Ultimate Lipcolor ever since I have seen the ads and commercials with Jennifer Connelly (don't you just love her?). I swear I always pick out the wrong shades of lip wear...but for a buy one get one free deal, I couldn't pass it up.

I decided to try it in: Top Tomato (the shade Jennifer is wearing in the ads), and Stellar Sunrise. I just LOVE this product! I wear Stellar Sunrise almost every day...and on days when I'm feeling extra bold I'll break out the red Top Tomato shade. My favorite thing about this product is that you only have to apply it ONCE and it lasts all day long. It isn't sticky, and doesn't get all dry looking. One simple coat is all you need, and you'll look fabulous all day.

Have you tried this product yet? What colors do you like??? What are your favorite long lasting lipstick brands?

Lookin' Fab

Ginnifer Goodwin showed up to celebrate L.A. Arts Month looking über adorable. Even though I still dislike her hair (I wanted to cry when I saw that she had chopped it off!), she looks so angelic in this dress. The skin tone color of the frock and sheer sleeves keep this dress looking light and feminine.

What do you think of this look on Ginnifer?

Cover Story

Something that I love to do when I'm bored is checking out different issues from around the world of my favorite magazines. For instance, I recently was browsing the many sites of Vogue and came upon so many fabulous (and totally different) covers. It's really interesting to see the trends from all over the world!

Check out some of Vogue's covers for February 2010---

Spain

UK

USA

Japan

Australia

Which cover is your favorite? I think my favorite out of this bunch has to be the UK's. The cover is so soft and feminine. I adore the colors used.

So the next time you have nothing to do and you feel as though you have read just about everything online, check out some international reading material. Or if you don't have the energy, check back here time to time. I think I'm going to start making this a feature on Snapshot Fashion.

Brooklyn Industries---Philadelphia Location

I'm so excited to hear that Brooklyn Industries is opening a new location in Philadelphia on February 1st. I was born and raised in Pennsylvania, and a bunch of my friends live in the Philly area...so I can't wait to tell them that they have to check out one of my favorite stores in person. The store is located at 1525 Walnut Street. Click here for more info.

Pick of the Day

Purple has to be one of my favorite colors. What can I say? I'm a girly girl at heart. If you take a look in my closet you'll see a ton of purple hues poking through the piles of black clothing I have (hey, I live in NYC...black is like my uniform!). So when I came across this pair of Kid Sister Heels available at ModCloth I stopped in my tracks. Aren't they adorable?!?!?! I need them...now.

Camilla and Marc

Thank the fashion gods ( and Nylon Magazine)...I just stumbled upon the Camilla and Marc lookbook. This Aussie sibling duo has been cranking out some of the most amazing designs for "it girls" everywhere (Kirsten Dunst, Kristen Stewart, and Ginnifer Goodwin are all huge fans) since they launched their label in 2003.

Their current collection is full of fabulous pieces that make a statement. Personally, I'm in love with their party dresses.

Check out some of our favorite looks from their lookbook. Which do you love?

Fashion Icon of the Week

“I think I'll probably write something, a family drama. I'm good at frame works and plots, but my dialogue is atrocious. It gets very over-wrought. My husband's a writer and his dialogue is brilliant, so, I'm very often his script-editor, so I think we'll probably write something together.”

Look of the Day

Fashion Icon of the Week

"Any character, you leave behind, because I just love feeling like me. I can't explain it, I just have felt, going through adolescence, you play versions of yourself and you're always afraid to be yourself. Well, I was, anyway, for fear of being mocked, criticized, or rejected. So I just love being me."

Trend Block

Look on the hands of any fashionista and you'll be seeing animals. Animal rings that is. They are the must-have accessory of the moment. They are so cute...this is definitely a trend I wouldn't mind following. Check out some of my favorites (all at very different price points)---

Owl Head Ring- Forever 21 ($3.80)
Pair this adorable piece with your favorite casual look. It will bring jeans and a flannel to a whole new level.

Large Animal Ring- Urban Outfitters (originally priced at $34, but now on sale for only $9.99)
I am actually pretty sure I posted this ring on Snapshot Fashion in the past. Yes, I love it that much. And now that it is on sale I love it even more!

Peter Golden Tail Ring- ModCloth ($14.99)
This ring seriously is just too cute for words. I think I'd wear it with just about everything.

Judith Jack Onyx Snake Ring- Bloomingdale's ($195)
This ring would just look fabulous worn out on a Friday night. I don't normally like snakes at all...but the green eyes on this one win over my heart!

*Anthropologie Has My Heart*

While I was scrolling through the pages of Anthropologie's website I had to take some extra time to browse my favorite section...DRESSES. Now you have to understand, I always love Anthropologie's dresses...always so beautiful in color and design. But my little secret is...I don't own any frocks from there. Not a one. I just love looking at them. To be honest they are just a little out of my price range. The few expensive dresses I have (and yes, I do have a couple that were quite pricey...even a few designer duds) I didn't pay full price for. Some I got super cheap...and some even for free (thank-you Gilt). But needless to say, currently I can't be throwing $200-$300 around on a bright and bold dress that I will only wear a couple of times. But there is no harm in looking, right?

Here are my current lusts---

Lotus Awakening Dress- I love the shape of this one. Kinda reminds me of the Jetsons. That cartoon was always a favorite of mine.

Woven Chroma Dress- The colors in this dress couldn't be more bold. So fun and summery!

Ablaze Dress- This frock is perfect for the office. Pair it with a bold cardigan and some heels...and you'll look like one stylish professional.

Longing-For-Yellow Dress- Okay, so the price tag on this one is a bit more affordable...and in my mind it is the look of it is PERFECTION. I have a few weddings to go to this spring/summer and this dress would be perfect to wear to them, don't you think? I just might have to get it!!!

What is your favorite dress at Anthropologie? Check out their entire dress collection here.
