Victory Rolls

Today I'm feeling a little retro. Over the last few days I have been obsessed with vintage hair and makeup tutorials via YouTube (mainly by The Cherry Dollface). Now like I have said in my last post, I almost never do anything extreme (AKA complicated) with my hair. I'm just not all that talented when it comes to hair, or makeup for that matter. But I will say that The Cherry Dollface was very clear in her tutorials. So I thought, why not give it a shot.

So I thought it would be fun to start out by trying some victory rolls in my hair and practicing my eyeliner the way she suggested to do it. Well, I think I got the one roll pretty good...and one eye pretty good! HAHA! I guess practice makes perfect. Also, I will say that the hair is a look I love on others...but was very nervous about wearing on myself. It just seemed so "big". I didn't make this hairstyle as tight as she suggested, mainly because I didn't have all the tools needed. But I wanted to give it a shot anyway.

What do you think of this retro/vintage/pin up girl hairstyle? Can I pull it off...or should I just let this to the pros???

You can totally pull it off Diane! You look gorgeous! I'm so impressed because like you I lack skills in the hair department. Slowly but surely my makeup skills are improving watching lots of makeup gurus, but I know how tricky it can be at first.
Hope you had a lovely weekend!

thanks everyone! i guess i was mostly nervous that my hair would be too big and something like Peggy Bundy used to fashion! and it probably didn't help my confidence that my husband spent the day STARING at my hair. he kept insisting that he liked it though and that it was "cool"

I agree with everyone, you look awesome! I love the curls and think you can totally pull them off in any setting - except maybe the gym ;)

Usually when I try hair tutorials, I fail miserably. Maybe I'll attempt this one!
